The E-Series are a group of robots created by Doctor Eggman, who uses them in his quest to conquer the world. They are considered to be elite versions of the Badnik robots Eggman used in earier games. The name was first used in Sonic Adventure, and almost all of Eggman's robots between Sonic Adventure and Sonic Heroes were given an E-Series designation.
The most famous E-Series robots are the E-100 Seriesfrom Sonic Adventure, particularly E-102 Gamma (who was a playable character in that game) and E-123 Omega(who has been a recurring character since his introduction in Sonic Heroes).
The E-Series is the last series of Eggman's robots to use captured animals as a power source (referred to in some continuities as an organic battery), with more recent efforts such as the mass-produced Egg Pawn series no longer using animals in this way.

E-100Edit
The E-100 Series are the most prominent E-Series robots, being the only ones whose E-Series designations were revealed in-game. They were introduced in Sonic Adventure, in which they were prototype gunner robots. Almost all were equipped with some sort of lock-on target ammunition, though its utility varied between models. Unlike many of Eggman's robots, some of the E-100 series were important characters in their own right. The most prominent was E-102 Gamma, who was a playable character during the game. The E-100 series were also givenGreek letter names. All E-100 robots except ZERO appear on collectable cards in Sonic Rivals. But instead, ZERO appears as a card in Sonic Rivals 2.
Known E-100 robots include:
- E-100 Alpha (α) (aka ZERO)
- E-101 Beta (β)
- E-102 Gamma (γ)
- E-103 Delta (δ)
- E-104 Epsilon (ε)
- E-105 Zeta (ζ)
- E-121 Phi (φ)
- E-123 Omega (Ω)
- E-107 Theta (Θ) In the Mobius: X Years Later Alternate Universe.
E-106 Eta ηEdit
In the Hot Shelter level in Sonic Adventure there are claims of views of a destroyed body of a green robot resembling the E-100 series. Many fans called the destroyed robot E-106 Eta η. However, many players have searched every known area in the Hot Shelter looking for this robot. No one has any proof of finding it on the internet and there is no video on Youtube telling where and how to find it. This has led many players to believe that this robot's appearance is a hoax invented by the robot's actual appearance in Sonic Battle, along with new models of the previous E-100 series robots being rebuilt. Alternately, the view may have been simply an act of ignorance by mistaking E-100 Alpha for this robot considering they are both supposedly green. It officially appeared in Sonic Battle in the Gimme Shelter.
IsaacEdit
While not technically a member of the E-100 Series, Isaac is a robot from theSonic the Hedgehog comic series, and his design is simply a golden recolor of E-102 Gamma. He was created in the distant past by Professor Niven Clarke and was subservient to Dr. Ivan Kintobor. Activated when the Xorda aliens launched their first assault on Earth/Mobius, he monitored Kintobor while he was in stasis in his bunker.
Rediscovered by Shadow and Metal Sonic in the present day, he recounted his experiences of observing history from afar, including the first conquest ofMammoth Mogul and the coronation of the first king of the House of Acorn. Isaac is shown to maintain a nuclear launch silo beneath the bunker, and still tends to the dormant body of Ivan Kintobor. By unknown means, data was stolen from him by Dark Legion scientist Dr. Finitevus.
It is possible there is a link between Isaac and the SWATbot identified as Isaac by Ian Droid in Sonic Super Special #7, but it is untrue that Robotnik stole Isaac's design and used it for his E-Series.
