Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II is a 2-D platformer for next-gen consoles, and marks the 2nd episode of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 and is currently under early development. It was announced saying it will have new zones and bosses and many other things we haven't seen before plus it was said that thanks to the sales of Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode I the game will likely have a bigger budget. At E3 2011, when developers for Sonic Generations were asked about this game, they claimed that they are as in the dark as the fans are. It has also been hinted that Miles "Tails" Prower, Knuckles The Echidna, and Metal Sonic will be in the game.
